Comforter and Blanket Cleaning in Trivandrum

A comforter will not clean in a domestic machine. There is not enough room for water to move through the filling, and there is nowhere near enough drying power to get the core dry afterwards. Damp filling is how bedding starts to smell.

Why bulk bedding needs a commercial plant

Cleaning bedding is a question of volume. The filling has to move freely for water and detergent to reach it, and the whole thing has to be dried right through to the core, not merely dried on the outside.

A household machine achieves neither. What comes out is compressed, partly cleaned and damp in the middle, which is exactly the condition mildew wants. Our machines are sized for it and our drying is monitored to the core.

Full immersion. Large drums so the filling can move and actually get clean.
Dried to the core. Monitored drying right through, not just at the surface.
Loft restored. The filling is redistributed so the comforter comes back full rather than lumped.
Returned packed. Covered and folded so it goes straight to the cupboard.

What does comforter cleaning cost?

A single comforter is 599 rupees and a double is 699 rupees. Quilts are 329 and 439 rupees, and blankets range from 329 to 539 rupees depending on size and weight. All rates are on the published rate card.

How often should bedding be cleaned?

Twice a year for a comforter or duvet in regular use, and more often in humid months or if anyone in the household has allergies.

Will the filling clump or shift?

Not when it is dried properly. Clumping is caused by drying that leaves the core damp. Our drying is monitored right through and the filling is redistributed before folding.

Do you clean curtains and upholstery?

Yes. Full length curtains are 259 rupees without lining and 419 rupees with lining. Carpet cleaning starts at 400 rupees.

Do you handle bedding for hotels and guest houses?

Yes. Volume linen for hotels and serviced apartments is arranged separately. Contact us and we will discuss what your property needs.
