Saree and Bridal Wear, Treated Like the Heirlooms They Are
A wedding saree is worn for one day and kept for a lifetime. Zari, silk and hand embroidery need a slower process than an ordinary clean, and that is exactly what this service is.

Why ceremonial wear needs its own service
Silk loses its hand in hot water. Zari tarnishes under harsh solvent. Beadwork and sequin threads loosen in a tumbling drum. A bridal garment sent through a standard cycle comes back clean and quietly ruined.
So these pieces never join the general flow. Each one is assessed on its own, spotted by hand, cleaned by the gentlest route its fibre allows, and pressed individually.
- Sarees. Cotton, silk, designer and Kancheepuram, including starching and hand pressing.
- Bridal lehengas. Cleaned panel by panel, with embellishment checked before and after.
- Sherwanis and gowns. Structured ceremonial pieces where the shape matters as much as the cloth.
- Heirloom textiles. Older silks and family pieces, handled with honest advice about what age allows.
What we do differently for these pieces
High value garments are photographed at receipt with a written condition note, so what came in is never in question. Existing weaknesses, loose zari and prior stain attempts are recorded and shown to you before anything is cleaned.
If a mark will not lift safely, we say so before we try anything aggressive. On a garment you cannot replace, restraint is part of the craft.

What does it cost to clean a saree or a bridal lehenga?
From the published rate card: cotton sarees at 219 rupees, silk sarees at 359 rupees, designer sarees at 1,199 rupees. Lehengas from 529 rupees, silk lehengas at 899 rupees and bridal lehengas at 1,599 rupees. Sherwanis are 899 rupees.
Do you press sarees without cleaning them?
Yes. Steam pressing alone is 90 rupees for a regular saree, 130 rupees for silk, 160 rupees for designer and 250 rupees for a bridal or Kancheepuram saree, pressed by hand.
Can you clean a saree that has been stored for years?
Usually, and we will be honest where age has made a mark permanent or the fibre fragile. We assess the piece first and tell you what can be done before you commit to anything.
How long does bridal work take?
Longer than the standard 48 hours, because it is done by hand. We give you a date at collection and we keep to it, so tell us if there is a function on the calendar.
Is the zari and embroidery safe in cleaning?
That is the point of the specialist route. Embellished pieces are cleaned with gentler solvents on slower cycles, never tumbled with a general load, and the embellishment is checked against the condition note before the garment leaves.
